Santa’s Hotels Partners with Arctic Lapland Rally for 60th Anniversary Celebration

The Arctic Lapland Rally is set to mark its 60th edition in the mystical heart of the Arctic Circle. In a significant partnership, Santa’s Hotels will support the rally with accommodation, event, and dining services right in the centre of Rovaniemi.

Santa’s Hotels’ CEO, Sanna Sandgren, and the legendary organiser of the Arctic Lapland Rally, Heikki Poranen, formalised the collaboration with a handshake. Through this agreement, Santa’s Hotels will provide facilities for the competition office, jury, ticket office, and fan merchandise shop within their Kalotinlinna property, located on Rovaniemi’s central pedestrian street.

In return, the Arctic Lapland Rally will direct its ancillary programmes and rally enthusiasts towards Santa’s Hotels’ accommodation, events, and dining offerings.

“It’s marvellous to find a partner who genuinely wishes to create a holistic experience together! And now that we’ve embarked on this collaboration, we’ve immediately agreed on an option for continuation—this is the beginning of a splendid shared story!” commented Heikki Poranen, chairman of the rally’s organising committee.

Year after year, decade after decade, the Arctic Lapland Rally has been an eagerly anticipated motorsport weekend, never lacking in excitement, Lapland magic, or atmosphere. Santa’s Hotels, with its robust expertise, will enhance the rally experience by providing stylish accommodation facilities, an exclusive race studio in the heart of Rovaniemi, and, of course, a spirited rally bar.

“The 60-year journey of the Tunturiralli is a significant continuum in Rovaniemi’s annual event history. It’s fantastic to step in as a new partner and make the event an even more multifaceted experience for rally fans. Santa’s Hotels boasts extensive accommodation options throughout Lapland, so we can even house rally drivers who might lose their way,” laughed Sanna Sandgren.

The programme for the Arctic Lapland Rally event weekend, scheduled for 31st January to 1st February 2025, will be unveiled on 1st December 2024 across Santa’s Hotels’ website, Bar Zoomit’s social media channels, and all Arctic Lapland Rally channels.

The Arctic Lapland Rally stands alone in Finland as the only rally competition organised annually without interruption for 60 consecutive times. In honour of this milestone, competitors will face 215 kilometres and 13 special stages over the two driving days.

Santa’s Hotels is a Lappish, family-owned hotel chain offering diverse accommodations in Rovaniemi, Luosto, Saariselkä, Kilpisjärvi, Levi, and Kalajoki. Their significant contribution to promoting tourism in Lapland was recognised on 26th October 2024 in Rovaniemi, where they received the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
